Hi, Linked in is a social network around work, job seeking, professional development and so on. It's quite accessible but the website is sort'a huge and not always as well organized as I'd like personally. You should be able to do the basics such as adding connections, editing your profile, participating in groups,, reading job postings, and endorsing your colleagues.
Personally I think all of these social networking junkits work a lot better using mobile apps on IPhone or android than in a web browser, but that's where they started and that's where they'll stay for the forseeable future. Meanwhile, you should try the linked in app for your mobile. On the IPhone it's very accessible. I haven't tried it on my droid yet.
