I haven't experienced the reloading problem in IE10, although it seemed to get a bit strange after last months Windows updates. Sometimes Alt-Left arrow works and sometimes it doesn't, even though Window-Eyes says, previous page. And sometimes when it works browse mode is not reloaded so it looks like I'm still on the page I was on until I manually redraw the screen. I've yet to get anywhere with this. Although if you experience problems on YouTube that's a YouTube problem everyone is seeing on all browsers.

Regarding Firefox? I installed V24 yesterday and got the machine gun reloading that almost locked things up. But I was able to open Task manager because that will always interrupt any process, at least long enough to open. I was then able to kill firefox, although I was only hearing snippets of each focused item.

I then opened Firefox again and went searching through the options to see if I could find anything. The only thing that struck me as a possibility was that network proxy settings were set to: Use system settings. I changed it to: Use network settings. That instantly stopped the continuous reloading. Yet when I switched it back to: Use system settings today to see if that was actually the problem it doesn't seem to have been. So if you haven't rebooted since installing the new Firefox I'd give it a try.

And even after getting it to stop going crazy it still reloaded browse mode 2 or 3 times on most pages; often twice in quick succession followed by perhaps a 10 second delay before the third reload triggered.

Then I went into the Window-Eyes control panel; General, Other, Trigger delay. I changed its scope from global to program and upped it from 1 to 6. I then surfed around to a half dozen sites and never got any additional browse mode loads.

The only quirk remaining is that whenever I activate a link and then return to the page from which I did so that link is never seen as a visited link. I double checked the setting in Window-Eyes and it is on. So I don't know what's up with that.

I'm actually considering re-installing Window-Eyes because things other than IE have been a bit quirky since last months Windows updates. They're no specific problems I can duplicate and pin down, but things just seem a bit funky overall.

Tom

yep, getting the same thing here with firefox 24. I have to turn off the
autoload browse mode buffer as well as the automatic form interaction.
Might be going back to the previous version if possible. Hard to type in
edit boxes when the browse mode reactivates itself.

Hi,

I am not sure what has happened to my Window-Eyes, but I cannot go on
the Internet either using Firefox or IE. My page constantly loads
even when I suspend flash. What could be happening? I am not even
really sure where to look. I had used Jaws for some time because WE
was slowing down my system. I am told this is common with some of the
HP machines. Anyway, I do own Window-Eyes, and unlike Jaws, WE allows
hidden divs on a page to be shown. I need this function to access my
Ecommerce Website. I cannot use Window-Eyes since it keeps loading
the pages, and browse mode is not activating with the Control-shift
A. I have been using Window-Eyes since 1995, and I’d never been this
stuck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Warm regards,
