Hello y'all,

I do appreciate everybody's suggestions and help. Seems my keyboard was
changing layouts. I want to personally thank Rod Hutton for discovering that
with me and helping me to fix it. I can actually seem to run Windows Live
Mail 2012, now, without the keyboard going crazy. I had uninstalled the
insert key layout but to no avail, because the keyboard was changing its
sequences, because of the control shift combinations we have to hit. At any
rate, Rod took me through some settings and we stopped that. I'm still
playing withit and will tomorrow and see. I can now write in Thunderbird,
Windows Live Mail 2012, Wordpad, and so on.

Thanks Rod. Y'all take care. As soon as I get able to do it, I'll buy 8.3.

Brenda

If you go to the App manager in Window-eyes, make sure you don't have any
apps running, that you are not sure you need. GWToolKit should always be
running, but GW seem to think we need a ton of other aps as well. One of
them, that I find useless and troublesome is named something like InsertKey
Layout. Sorry, I deleted it immediately, so can't remember the very name.
Yet, it messes up your keyboard. Try checking if anything like that is
running, and if so, stop the app. See if that could be your troublemaker.

Do you happen to have NVDA installed on your computer? If you turn off
Window-eys, and then start NVDA (or even Narrator), does your keyboard work
as expected? If so, Window-Eyes may likely be the cause of your trouble. If
not, then there could be a setting in Windows itself.

Regards,
