Hi Reg. My Windows Seven installation and email usage are both very different to yours, but the only advice I feel safe in giving is to ensure that Windows Seven is up-to-date.
Windows v8.4 has been very stable for me - the best of the v8 cycle by far. But I do notice Windows Seven's propensity to run out updates which seem to take a lot of resource to install. My unproven conclusion is that Windows update challenges Window-eyes and that for me at least, any instability is courtesy of Microsoft. Hope I've given you something to think about.
