I'm currently using Windows XP, Office XP, and WE6.1. I'm probably not the
oldest person on this list, but I'm up there, and have avoided upgrading
just because I don't want to have to learn a whole new way of doing things.
My son tells me that I really should consider a new computer at some point.
So, my question is: is there a way to make things in Office 2010 and the
current version of WE behave, and look much like what I'm used to? Or, is
there really going to be a lot to learn. I don't really do anything very
involved on my computer. I read email in Outlook Express, I don't like
using web based email. I create very simple documents in Word, and use the
Internet using Internet Explorer.
I'm also considering a Windows tablet with a keyboard, rather than a
computer. For the last 6 years I've been using a Netbook, which has served
my needs very well. They seem to have been replaced by the tablets. Will
this package work on a tablet?
I also have an iPad. While it's very convenient, I find answering email,
and using the internet much easier on my Netbook with Window-eyes. and I
wouldn't even attempt to create a document on it.
Thanks.
