Hi,
I'd suggest resetting your global settings.
Sounds like you have the two verbosity options set to not speak field names or field data.

These can be found in Verbosity/ common/focused.
If you wish to set your global settings back to default, from the WE control panel:
1.  From the file menu select factory settings.
2.  when the set file list populates, select  default global settings.
3.  Select install.
4. reload Window-eyes.
