I have just posted a new app called SpellingPractice which can be used to
improve spelling skills.See the app help file below:

Press Alt-Shift-S to practice your spelling skills.
The SpellingPractice app can also be run from the apps menu.
When the dialog comes up, you can choose lessons 1 through 60 or braille words
61 through 69.
The first 60 lessons will give you a good list of words we all need to be able
to spell.
The braille words 61 through 69 are words represented by Grade 2 Braille
contractions--that all braille users should be able to spell.
Choose the study lesson button to get a new list of all the words in the
selected lesson.
When you press enter on a word in the list, or when you arrow through the list,
you will hear the word and its spelling.
If you are given a word like blue (the color) or blew (the wind), you will hear
a short description so you will know which word is wanted.
When you are done studying the list, choose the main menu button
so you can return to the main dialog.
Choose begin quiz to take a quiz on the selected lesson.
When entering the spelling for the spoken word, be sure to use capitals where
needed in days of the week, etc.
A space, a hyphen, or an apostrophe can also be entered.
Press letter r alone to repeat the item or q alone to quit the quiz.
When the quiz is over, you will be given your score.
The main dialog also has a close button and a help button.
