The following bits of information were copied from the Window-Eyes
manual:

Braille Output Modes

Window-Eyes Braille output can be presented in three different modes:
Structured,

Line, and Speech Box. Use the Display Mode Rotor hot key, which will be
specific

to the display in use, to cycle between the three modes. Window-Eyes
will remember

the last mode selected when it closes, and use that mode when restarted.

Structured Mode

Structured mode displays information in a linear fashion as you navigate
around the

screen, one line at a time, one control at a time. Control types, field
names, control

information, and text are all displayed, each entity separated by some
designated

character, creating a kind of hierarchical representation of data on the
screen.

Structured mode is the default mode.

Find the braille settings as an option of the Window-eyes control panel
– ctrl-backslash.

If you have Window-eyes running advanced, Braille is option 7 of 13.
Right arrow to open.

  Translation tables is option 4.

List of messages should read in Braille – it does on my Braille Edge.

Good luck.

Not one with which I am familiar, but I wonder if the trick might be to
assign it a virtual serial port.

I have a friend who has one of these displays, and she uses JAWS.

Maybe some documentation reading might be required, as I haven’t had to
set a virtual port via a physical USB connection for either of my
displays.

Good luck.

What is your display and what port is it connected to?

Are you following the steps of Window-eyes settings, devices, braille
displays etc?

Window-eyes identifies 69 displays, but they are not all equal.

Several of us have been banging on for ages about needed improvements to
Braille support, and I hope that many of these improvements will come in
version 9.

But, taking as the examples with which I am familiar, Freedom Scientific
will not offer up needed fixes to its driver to better ensure that its
Focus displays will work properly with Window-eyes. Whereas – the
Braille Edge works fine; HIMS and GW need to do some work regarding
braille hot key labelling.
