Hi Everyone,

Well, I red earlier today in an email from someone on this list that Microsoft is aware that there are problems with IE11. Obviously despite what I wrote yesterday about my problem I thought was fixed, it is not fixed, I mean the problem with Adobe Flash Player 12.

It's true. There are serious problems with Adobe flash Player and IE11.

Last night I tried to stream video from a site and I couldn't because it did not recognize that I had the latest version of Adobe Flash player installed, which the folks at Microsoft helpped me re-install yesterday.

It appears that after I go read the De Smet News Paper online, which uses Flash for some reason, then I try to go listen to video or audio content online, I can't do this.

If I go into IE11 and go into Add-ons, and change that thing to the Shockwave, then I can't read the paper. Window-Eyes doesn't see the flash or something, but this isn't really a Window-Eyes issue. The other screen reader I have acts the same way, and yet a sighted person can see the paper just fine on the screen.

I would say this is an Accessibility issue with IE11 and Adobe Flash player.

I am tired of this problem already, and I hope that Microsoft fixes it soon.

I hope that if GW Micro tech support team reads this message, that they will encourage Microsoft to please fix these problems with IE11.

I really don't want to go back to IE10. <smile>

I know that others are having the same problem.

I have one question. Is there an alternative player that we can use to listen to video or audio content online with IE11? It seems that all the sites require Adobe Flash Player.

Thanks much.

Many Blessings,

Pat Ferguson

Hi Dennis:

My biggest problem with Window-Eyes and Internet Explorer is that I can NO LONGER route the pointer to an element I need to click on. This makes work extremely difficult for me. I'm forced to "borrow" pairs of eyes time and time again for tasks I used to do myself. This issue began with Internet Explorer 9 initially, but now I am experiencing the same situation with earlier incarnations of Internet Explorer such as IE8.
