Hi Pat,
I did a quick Google search on this topic and found the how to article below on Microsoft's website. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/copy-outlook-express-address- book-contacts-to-outlook-HA001091960.aspx It says that Outlook Express stores contacts in a Windows Address Book file with an extension of .wab and the default file location is C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book. I found this little tidbit in a Microsoft support forum. "In Windows Live Mail, open the Contacts list, hit ALT to bring up the menu bar, go to File, Import, Windows Address Book (.WAB)." Good luck. Here are my questions below. I'm helping a few Window-Eyes users move their contacts from one XP computer with Outlook Express, to a Windows 7 Computer with Windows Live Mail on the new machine. I need to know where do we find the two contacts files in Outlook Express, and what are they called, please? And, where do we put these files in the Windows Live Mail program folder, please? then, do we have to actually import the contacts with some command in WLM? I don't use either program, so please be very spacific in these instructions, please. <smile> Thanks much. Many Blessings, Pat Ferguson "I can Do all Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me."
