Hello again fellow Window-Eyes users:

I tried using the player again today and found that there was an upgrade
available. Thinking that this may be what needed to be done in order to
correct the issue, I installed the upgrade, and tried playing the same dvd
again. However, I'm still getting the same results as before. While the dvd
is playing, I go to the play pull-down menuand arrow down through the
choices. In doing this, I've found that the play/pause icon is checked, but
Window-Eyes says that it's disabled. The stop command, which is the period
key, is also disabled. The dvd I'm trying to play, is a loony toons cartoon
dvd that my cousin had given to me. What can I say, I'm a kid at heart.
Besides, I work with kids in my summer camp job every summer. Anyway, when
the program starts, first a logo (I'm assuming it's the warner brothers
logo, appears on the screen. Then, that goes away, then the opening cequence
to loony toons starts to play, with that famous music we all know. This
portion of the dvd is what keeps playing over and over again, and I'm not
able to get past it. I press page up and page down, but nothing happens. I
press spacebar to pause, but again, nothing happens, and the same with the
period key. Like I said above, in the play menu, the play/pause, and stop
options appear to be disabled. Why? Someone on the list mentioned the vlc
player. Yes, I've heard of it, but I've also heard, that vlc is not user
friendly with screenreaders, but Combine classic cinema is. The only
command I seem to be able to get the player to respond to, is the up and
down cursor arrows, which are used to turn the volume either up or down.
You're supposed to be able to move a few seconds left or right during
playback, by using the left and right cursor arrows, but those don't do
anything either. This is quite weird.
