Hi Mike,

Thanks for this question, because I didn't know
how to do this myself until your question
influenced me to research it, and it's something
I've wanted to know for a long while, although I
was always putting it off. This will improve my
quality of life while working with bookmarks
immensely. Smile

In Firefox, press Insert-B to bypass Window-Eyes,
and then press Control-Shift-B to bring up the
Firefox Bookmarks Library.
This is a somewhat confusing two-pane window, but
the simplest approach is to arrow down to
Bookmarks menu, and press Enter.
Now, the current pane will contain all your
bookmarks.
Just select the one you want to place on the
desktop and press Control-C to copy it to the
clipboard.
Now, go to the desktop, highlight one of the
icons, and press Control-spacebar to unselect it.
Now, press the Applications key to pop up the
context menu, arrow down to Paste shortcut, press
Enter, and, presto, the bookmark is pasted to your
desktop.

I hope this helps,

Rod

Subject: Desktop Shortcut and Firefox

I can't figure how to put a shortcut from a site,
using Firefox to my
desktop. It' easy enough with I. E. but haven't a
clue with Firefosx.
Help is appreciated.

Mike
