Hi Louis, George, et al,

The reason why Control-Shift-B does not produce the same results for
Window-Eyes users as it does for George is because this is a Window-Eyes hot
key for setting the mouse pointer boundary. If you want to send this keystroke
to Outlook with Window-Eyes running, you would first need to issue the bypass
hot key Insert-B. Control-Shift-B is the Outlook keyboard shortcut to open the
global address book and is one of many ways to get to the new contact window.
This command does not utilize the ribbon. When accessing the ribbon, the first
key press will always be Alt. The fastest way I have found to get to the new
contact window is by pressing the Outlook keyboard shortcut Control-Shift-C.
To my knowledge, this key command does not conflict with any of the default
Window-Eyes hot keys.

Regards,

Marc

OK, George, that well may be it. I'm sure there are many Jaws users on this
list who will be helped. But, You're right, I am a Win-Eyes user, and that's
probably why these instructions failed to help me. But thanks for trying.

I am using Windows 7, JAWS 15, & Outlook 2013. I believe those are ribbon
commands in 2013 but may be effected by JAWS and if you are using WE that may
be the issue.

Sorry it does not work for you.

Oops, George, this doesn't work on my PC. I need this, too. Are you sure

your instructions are correct? Are you thinking perhaps of some other

program?

Hi all,

I configured Outlook to work with Window Eyes but now can't figure out

how to add a contact in to my contact list. I know I can do it if I send an

email but want to do it using the address book.

Walt
