Paulette,

I made that very change a little over a year ago and it was a lot like
falling into a "rabbit hole." Crazy to say the least.

However, I was/am using Jaws 15 instead of WE. I have downloaded WE and
will install this week or next to begin using along with JAWS 15 and maybe
converting entirely to WE.

I think one of your first needs will be to get some tutoring on Windows 7!
It is very, very different from XP in navigation.

Next you will want tutoring in keystroke navigation in ribbons with WE.
Check out the instruction/tutoring section of GW Micro's site for applicable
webinars and listings of keystroke shortcuts for WE using Windows 7 and
various applications.

Also, I purchased and waded through Windows 7 for Dummies and found it
helpful but a little tiring.

I wish you success.

George

Subject: Windows 7, Office 2010

Hi all,

Soon, this weekend I believe, I will be getting a new, at least new for me,
desk top computer with Windows 7 Home and Microsoft Office 2010. This means
that I will be changing from my trusty, old reliable, Windows XP
Professional and Office 2003. I am scared to death. Oh yes, I will also be
updating from WE 8.2, I think to the latest version of Window eyes.

So, I am looking for ideas for anything I can use to help me be able to use
these new fangled electronic gismos. Any suggestions for books, tutorials,
classes, good old fashioned advice and tips, will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help you are able to give.

Paulette
