As the subj. line hints, I'm not having great results with getting the proper variety of Windows and Window-Eyes sounds back; so have been following this discussion with interest.
There's one listing with 35 items, another with 74; some of these seemt to duplicate. Even in the longer list we go from a Windows event to "Tada!" Thus there's no Window-Eyes and nothing branches off with a right-arrow as it should in a tree view. In my own case, though Default, (3 of 3), is the sound scheme, every event has mysteriously changed to "Play Windows startup sound, Checked." This even has replaced the ascending and descending harp for Window-Eyes. We may not solve all this on the list, but finding and assigning the proper sounds isn't quite as simple as a plain treeview. -- "Hope laid upon hope, that this crowd will not subside..."
