Hi,

I am having a very difficult time trying to get set up with my new
Windows7/Office 2010/WE8.4 laptop and would welcome any assistance.

Still trying to learn the crossover from using the nice and simple Outlook 2003
to the “what the heck” Outlook 2010 and am having a few problems.
I don’t know what I did, but I am able to receive my messages fine, they are
listed in date order, but when I open by entering on it I hear the beginning of
the message start to read and then “perform actions on this item such as
opening or replying: and it continues to read the titles of every other email.

When I try to send a new message (CTRL N) it brings up the new message as
untitled message with the “to” line highlighted, but when I start to type
something I get the message “there are no items to show in this view”

“Click to toggle between the people panes button, click to collapse the people
pane button, all items button, activities button, mail button, attachments
button, etc.
My new email comes up as html, but I have tried to turn off browse mode but
then focus goes back to the inbox.

I have sent mail from the program before, and I know the problem is due to a
change I accidently made trying to navigate the stupid ribbon and just can’t
get back to where the proper setting is and cannot find anyplace to give me
instructions either.
If someone could give me a little instruction, I would be extremely grateful.
Thanks,
Daniel
