Hi Mike, I'm wondering if your mouse pointer is sitting on the Show Desktop icon. I suggest moving the physical mouse out of the way, or go to the desktop and use the Window-Eyes mouse keys to route the pointer to one of the top corners of the desktop window, again, out of the way.
