Hello: First of all, I want to say that this is an opinion of a Window Eyes user and it should only be looked at this way. I'm having a little trouble swallowing the merger pill. The reason I say this is because, when a merger happens, things are either broken, or they go down hill very quickly. Some merger's are very good, and other's aren't. Now, with that being said, I believe and know that GwMicro is a very good company and I've never had problems with there staff in either tech support, or sales. I have not done business with AI Squared but, I also believe that they look at the customer first. Here's where I have a small problem. When merger's happen, will the customer get thrown to the side? Will the technology we rely on everyday get better, or become something of a passing phase? Will the company get more complaints then praise? Onl,y time will tell by what thie merger does. I'm only bringing up my concerns because of what has happened with merger's before and how they have brought a company to a screeching hault, or have made the company very successful.
Again, this is an an opinon of a user and should not be taken personally. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jeremy Curry To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, October 17, 2014 11:02 AM Subject: RE: website merger Hi Sky, Thank you for asking about this issue. As you can imagine, we have had quite a few tasks to do as we move through the merger. For example, network and phone system integration between the Indiana and Vermont teams. These things definitely take time, so we appreciate your patience and understanding through this process. The GW Micro website is still active, but it will eventually be shut down and the information and products presented there will be moved to the Ai Squared website. We are already in the process of transferring social media as well. In fact, if you follow @gwmicro on Twitter, please make sure to unfollow @gwmicro and start following @aisquared. The Facebook and YouTube sites will also be transferred as we move forward and the GW Micro LinkedIn page should be shut down in the near future. Most of the Indiana team has already started using Ai Squared email addresses with the exception of our support and sales email addresses. We are still in process to transfer those to Ai Squared email addresses. Additionally, we will be transferring the GW Micro email lists to new lists as well. Rest assured that we are going to continue to have these lists, but they will simply have a new email address so we can move forward with shutting down the GW Micro email server in the future. I also wanted to let everyone know that the entire team is still here in Indiana, and despite the numerous tasks involved with the merger, we continue to push forward on the next version of Window-Eyes. We will continue to put out a quality product and maintain our high level of customer service. Our engineering team has been working extremely hard to get a new version to you in the near future. While I cannot give you specifics regarding features or the release date of the next version, I wanted to communicate with all of you that we are definitely still working extremely hard behind the scenes. Again, thank you for your continued patience as we work through the many details of the merger. All the Best, Jeremy Jeremy Curry Director of Product Management Ai Squared - Formerly GW Micro, Inc. One thing that is puzzling me as well, is when I get a message from the aisquared staff privately, it says aisquared, formerly gwmicro. Yet when I look on the internet, it seems that the gwmicro website is still there. Is the websites still in the process of merging? What's the status on the websites merging currently? If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only. If your reply would benefit others on the list and your message is related to GW Micro, then please consider sending your message to [email protected] so the entire list will receive it.
