Thank Microsoft as they broke the spell checker in 2013. The only way to use it is by using the alt-; and alt-' commands.

The office enhance app does not report the miss spelled word and the first suggestion in the list. The hot keys alt+w alt+r alt+s don't read anything. Using office 2013 windows 8.1 x64. Can anyone else confirm this? The spell checking review commands alt+' and alt+; work as expected so I can review the document and find the errors and fix them using the context key.
