Unfortunately, I went to a website to copy a block of text, hit f8 at
the start of the block and then again at the end of it, press the copy
to button, and then tried to pate the resultant resulting result in a
document. No dice. It's like window-eyes thinks the text is copied but
it's not there on the actual clipboard. I'm sorry, I haven't been
keeping up with all the discussion threads on this list, if this has
been reported umpteen times before, please forgive me. But it is a
curiosity. I've been wanting a feature like this for some time now and
am overjoyed that it's finally here on webpages. This makes getting
clips of text for research so much easier.

It's a block selection method that's used in some other programs as
well. Just move to the point where you want to begin selection, press
F8, move to the end of the selection point, and press F8 again. A
dialog will pop up with a Copy to clipboard button focused as the
default.
And if you just want to select the text of a link you can simply press
F8 twice while you're anywhere within that link text.
Shift-Arrow selection will be coming. It just hasn't been implemented
yet.

can't do any of that on a website but intestingly, you can still select
text the older way in properties, or word or even e-mail messages. For
example, I can still copy this with Control shift right arrow and

Trouble is, can't duplicate that on google, or any other site. Wonder
how f8 fits into this equation while the older way of copying and
pasting still works in properties or other applications but not in IE,
Firefox or the like?
