Skype is usable, but it's cluttered, even in compact view. Especially after
you've gotten used to the simple, clean interface of GWC.

I find the regular Skype software accessible and usable. I can't think of
what advantages you would get by running a hacked version of GW Connect, when
you can just use Skype.

If it truly works then the API / tool kit has not been shut down by Microsoft.

Weren't we told the api / Microsoft kit was shutdown and that's why it
couldn't work any more?

Isn't that what we were told?

  Strange stuff, that's for sure.

  Thanks,

  Sam

  Subject: Gw connect workaround

While I don't know who made this workaround, and while I personally don't
condone the use of unauthorized software, I decided to take a chance and run
this workaround on my windows seven machine, and I do verify that it does work
if you follow the read me instructions. I can't verify if this works on windows
eight, however, as I don't have a windows eight machine to test. But it does
work on windows seven, sixty four bit.
