Kevin,

While it's true that placemarker support has not yet been written for
the new Browse Mode system, rest assured that we fully intend to add
this back. Keep in mind that we have literally rewritten Browse Mode
from scratch, and that includes things from simple navigation to the
more complex forms of how we present content. Other things like
placemarkers will happen, too, but improving the basic support needed to
come first.
