Make sure that you have all Office updates installed for your version of office. Make sure when you go into Windows updates, you choose change settings and make sure that the checkbox Give me updates for Microsoft products and check for new optional Microsoft software when I update Windows is checked. Using the ribbon and choosing all accounts does result in loss of speech. I pressed alt-control-w and Window- Eyes reloaded.
