Hi Rusty and Jim,

Here's another approach for solving this issue: you can configure Outlook to
close the message when you delete it, rather than move on to the next
message.

To do this, go into the "file" menu (for Outlook 2010 or later), (or I think
"office" menu for 2007), and choose options. You start out in a listview of
different options, and so down arrow once to get to the mail options.

You can tab until you get to the combobox choice "after moving or deleting
an open item", or you can shift-tab 3 times (which is a lot quicker), or you
can press alt-o a couple of times until you end up there.

You should find it currently set to "move to next item", and so you should
change it to "return to the current folder", and then click "ok".

Alternatively, if you don't want to change this option, when it opens the
next message, try shift tabbing once (it may move you to the body) instead
of tabbing all those times to get there.

Hth,

Chip

Subject: the betas and outlook 2007

Hi,

When I delete a message in outlook 2007, from within the message,
the next message opens. I must press the tab key six times to get to the
body of the message where I can then press control-shift-r or
control-shift-d to read the entire message. So, for me, its either doing
the above, or pressing escape to get out of the message I just read,
deleting it from the list of messages in the mailbox, and then pressing
enter on the next message to open it, directly in the body of the message.
This happened with both of the betas. Not sure if this has been reported or
if it happens to anyone but me.

Otherwise, everything else seems to be working fine for me.

Rusty
