Hi:
I'm sorry you couldn't get the system working.
Many of us are successfully using Windows 8 and 8.1 right now. And, the
reality is that, if you want anything new, your probably going to be stuck with
Windows 8.1.
Now, at one time, I heard you could still buy a brand-new Dell computer from
their business unit with Windows 7 still on it, but, count on paying a premium.
Yes, you do have to think a little differently for some things, but, many
things you knew and loved from earlier versions of Windows are still there.
There are other things that can be frustrating, but, they can be worked around.
Maybe, with a little help from someone who is using Windows 8.1 successfully,
you can learn to use it.
At any rate, to tell everyone "Don't buy it" is not the answer.

I did ask for help and got no replies with any
information. I asked for a windows 8 tutorial, and silence was the
responce. Ok, there is a learning curve, and i understand that, but if
no one provides information, you can't learn the curve. Furthermore, the
main problem is that we could not get the operating system to work. The
reason i said not to buy windows 8 is that even with sighted help, i was
unable to get things to work. It goes back to old fashioned reality,
if it don't work, bring it back.
