My mistake. I have adobe reader 9.5.5, not adobe acrobat. I think that’s right.

Unfortunately unchecking the enable security enhanced mode option in
preferences didn’t work. In that version, there’s no security enhanced at
startup. I didn’t know what you meant by the second checkbox. What is that
checkbox?

I did check the document security settings, and it says content accessibility
no. and content copying for accessibility not allowed.

Does that mean there’s nothing I can do on the pc? If that’s the case, I still
wonder why it’s readable on my iphone.

Thanks again,

Andre,

Please try the following to resolve your issue, this could be the adobe reader
protected mode:

Thank you.

Brendon Donohue.

Please try the following information:

Please try turning off protected mode in Adobe Reader XI, you do this by going
to edit with control E, arrow down to Preferences, open that and go to the tree
view option Security (Enhanced). And turn off the following checkboxes:Enable
Protected Mode at startup. Then tab until you get to the second checkbox and
uncheck that and close out of that dialog box, Then say yes to the message that
comes up, quit out of Adobe Reader XI and then open your file again.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Warm Regards,

Brendon C Donohue.

When I open a pdf for some training I’m doing, I hear “edit disabled” and
nothing but the title of the document is spoken by WE 9 Beta2. I would have
thought perhaps it was a scanned image or something, but when I email it to
myself and open the email on my iphone, I am able to read/hear the document.
Does anyone have a clue to what’s going on with this document? I’m using
vista32, Acrobat 9.5.5. Now that I recheck it, it also says, secured. But how
is it possible that I can open and read it on my phone? Are there any pc
solutions out there because that would be easier if I could use WE to read it.

Thanks a lot for your help..
