Don,
When I hit Alt 1, it does read the email address if one shows. If the person
is already in your contacts, Outlook seems to know and not display the email.
WE reads it so fast though, that I wouldn't be able to catch it to write it
elsewhere. I don't know of another hotkey, but I have sometimes done a Control
R to open a reply message, then copied the address from the To line to add to
contacts, then escaped out. I also tend not to use Virtualization of messages
on my work Outlook, which means that I can then shift tab to the To field and
either copy the address there or use the application key to create a new
contact. I've seen mention of using Alt Shift V to toggle virtualization on
and off, but that key combo does nothing for me. Maybe it's a WE 9 beta key
combo and I'm still on WE 8.4 here at work.

Subject: a question re outlook

Hi:

About outlook email.
I know that alt 1 tells you from
Alt 2 tells you sent
Alt 3 tells you to.
Now I think there is a hotkey, that reads the from field , and is supposed
to read the email address connected to that person, so if it is needed you
are supposed to be able to high lite it , to then paste it in the to field
in future if you want to email it later.
Do you know what it is, I thought it was to press the alt 1 key again, but
that doesn't work.
Using we 8.4, windows 7 latest and outlook 2007
Thanks
Don
