Um no windows 8.1 is faster then windows 7. Windows 8.1 has universal app support. This means that you can run a lot of cool apps that do not run on earlier operating systems. Windows 10 will be a free update to all users of windows 8.x. windows 8.x is more stable. Windows 8.x has more security then windows 7. Windows 8.x has a better version of narrator. Windows 8.x has a better built in speech synthesizer. With classic shell there is no learning curve for the start screen. This means that you can get all of these advantages with out learning a new start system. If there is a problem it is easyer to restore windows 8.x it is also easyer to refresh the operating system. This can all be done with speech. No need to reinstall the operating system ever. These are just a fiew reasons I( run windows 8.1 on my laptop and my venue tablit of course. Windows 8.x has wonderful touch support. Now if only window-eyes had touch support. I can go on if you like, but I think you get the general idea. Hth Note one day is not enough time to give any operating system a fair chance. If I was running a mac for example I would at least give it a month before deciding that I did not like it.

And why go for windows 8 when ten will be out in a few months anyway. Ten is supposed to be a big improvement. So far as I can tell, most of the improvements in windows eight over seven appear to be cosmetic. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Grimsby Jr." <[email protected]> To: "'big wally'" <[email protected]> Cc: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 16, 2014 4:37 PM Subject: RE: one day was enough Hi, I am sorry one nday with a new operating system is not enough time to try that operating system. Sorry you did not give it a fair chance. There is so much more you can do with windows 8.1 that you just can't do with windows 7. -----Original Message----- From: big wally [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, December 16, 2014 1:58 PM To: [email protected] Subject: one day was enough One day with windows 8 was enough to tell me i didn't like windows 8. The issue is over now, my machine went back to the store, i have my windows 7 computer, and i'm content. We were unable to get the operating system to work, meaning I wasn't even able try windows 8.
