Hi, FWIW, Windows-X is only in Windows 8.1 not the original release of Windows 8.

Prior to a hard drive failure, my Windows 8.1. had the command which gave me a menu type structure to access features such as shut down, the control panel, command prompts etc. This was the Windows-X command, very accessible to Window-Eyes. Now I have a completely new windows install, and have lost my Windows-X command. Can someone please advise how I get it back? In appreciation. Vaughan.
