Hi,
I'm using thunderbird 31.3 and windows 8.1. With beta three, if I reply
to a message, if I make a mistake and try to backspace, I get a boink
sound and no feedback from WE. This has been the case since beta 1. If
I start a new message in Thunderbird, the backspace key works properly.

HI,
I don't want to start a flaming war here, but I'm having to use NVDA more and
more here. I'd rather use Window Eyes, but I can't reply to a message with
beta 3, I can't enter a password with beta 3, but I can with NVDA.
I much prefer using WE, but its becoming more and more difficult to do so. I
can also select text with the arrows in NVDA and can no longer do this in Beta
3.
Now, if NVDA can do these things, Window Eyes should be able to do them also
whether they use UIA or not!

It's a security feature of UIA. They don't tell us anything about secure edits.

such sites that require user names and passwords when trying to
backspace over a miss typed character in the password edit box We
dings and does not speak character being removed.
