Word 2010 no longer opens docs properly. Launch Word from the Search box of the Start menu in Windows 7. Sometimes extraneous output is announced: pull down menu docs, end of transmission, etc., and other times a document opens with Window-Eyes announcing the doc name and speaking as you navigate text.
A Cut command Ctrl + X always silences Window-Eyes, and always, when replacing a word in the text via the Synonyms option on the short-cut menu, silence always occurs.
