Latest Firefox, Win-7 64-bit system. While reading the GW Info Digest for Dec. 23 under SquirrelMail 1.4.22, Read-to-End started disconnecting from text after about Message 8.
Repeating and going backwards in text with same command, (left & right arrows), started at about Msg 12. Long pauses happened at about Msg. 38, reading becoming impossible after about Msg. 40. Total number of msgs listed as 66 at the head of the Digest. In previous betas there would have been lockups which are not present here, definitely a good thing; however, we're still not equaling performance with buffered MSAA. As far as I can tell, the mail client (SquirrelMail 1.4.22) is reading thru text and occasional HTML from the SMTP-remote server at <iphouse.com> which was never a problem due to length of email msgs. This is similar to some other problems reported involving longer text or HTML passages read on-line. (I suppose anything on the Web is in a way HTML.) The msg nos. above are meant to give a benchmark for exactly when the unbufvfered system starts balking.
