Hello: I have finally started working with the Window-Eyes version 9.0 Beta 3. I’m running it on a Windows 7 64-bit virtual machine using VMWare Fusion on a MacBook Pro platform. Here are the issues I’ve found so far, I haven’t read all of the emails on this list about the beta, so sorry if these have been discussed already: 1. In Microsoft Outlook version 2007, when I’m in my inbox going through the list of messages, I hear the date and time stamp on the message, but not who it’s from, the subject and if it’s read or unread. I’ve got the window maximized, and in WE Version 8.4, all of the message information was read. 2. I administer email lists using Google Groups. When I’m running the beta with IE9.0, I can select the group I want to work with, but when I press enter on the clickable button to manage users in a group, the table of users doesn’t come up. If I turn browse mode off, tab to the control and press enter, then turn browse mode back on, I can see the table of the 18 users in the group I was looking at. However, when I arrow down past the end of the table, then try going back to it, it’s almost as if the table has disappeared and I can’t find it. I press the ‘T’ or ‘shift-T’ commands and WE says ‘no table’.. This happens using IE 9.0. 3. I tried creating a test form using Google Forms in IE 9.0. I can enter the form title and description information, but when I tab to where I should enter the first question, I hear ‘untitled question’. If I tab again, I hear ‘option 1’ which is a radio button. There appears to still be work needed on google forms support, though I’m impressed with how WE Beta 9 works with the menus in google forms and google docs. 4. Speaking of google docs, I also tried creating a test document. I was able to find and activate the create new document button, but after I do that, I can’t find the edit area where I can enter text into the document. Again, this is using IE 9.0.
Thanks, hope this is helpful to AI Squared. Overall, I’m impressed with the Beta software, particularly some of the things I’ve seen with web support, particularly with drop-down menus such as on google.
