There are certainly times when the new selection method using F-8 could be very handy. Heaven knows I've had my problems with the clipboard; however, it presents a problem, especially with short selections. Once you're in that mode, any arrow-based command will select something. What if you select text you don't want copied?
With the traditional arrow-key procedure it's not a big deal to deselect, but with this F-8 protocol it certainly is. You don't know where you are till you do the command, and it's a classic Catch-22 situation. You could spend all day trying to paste a single link. Somehow we're going to need both methods, as we're going to need buffered browse mode unless the read-to-end item mode issues and the awkward ppause problems can be successfully addressed. -- "Hope laid upon hope, that this crowd will not subside..."
