I wouldn't worry about it, Rick. There are still a few features that worked in 
WE 8.4 that are temporarily non-functional in the current iteration. One such 
feature, verbosity announcing the number of lines, is said to be slated for 
elimination; yet, it still appears in the verbosity browse property page. I'm 
sure they're policing up the program and will have it tidied up by the time of 
the release.

When reading the tip of the day, there is a tip that still refers to the browse 
mode buffer. I have included it below.

You may encounter a situation where reading seems disjointed or garbled. Text 
may sound overlapped, or missing, or you may hear text from another program 
instead of the current program. You can use the Window-Eyes Redraw hot key 
INSERT-BACKSLASH to redraw the screen, reset your synthesizer, and if you're in 
Browse mode, reload the Browse mode buffer. Redrawing the screen is a quick way 
to "clean up" any leftover artifacts that may be causing reading problems.
