Hi Jed: The only thing that you need to make sure of is that both the computer that you are trying to access and the computer that you are using to access it have Window-eyes installed on them.
On the computer that you are trying to access, you must choose Microsoft virtual remote desktop services from the list of speech synthesizers. On the computer that you are going to use use to access the above computer, you must activate the virtual channel. This is done as follows: 1. find the Window-eyes submenu which is in the start menu. First, go to Advanced and press Enter. Then, Go to Virtual Channel Maintenance and press EnterTab to the Microsoft Virtual Channel and enable it. Then find out the name of the computer that you are trying to access. The way to do this Depends on the version of Windows that you are using. Then, if you are using XP or 7 you can go to Accessories, arrow down to Remote Access and press Enter. You should then find yourself in a dialog which contains an edit box in which you type the name of the computer that you are trying to access, for example, the computer that I am accessing has a 9 digit number as its name. Then tab to Connect, and, provided the computer that you are trying to access is boot up, you should be logged on to its desktop. I hope this helps. Kevin Huber P.S. Both computers have to have internet access and be online for this to work.
