Subject: WE 9.0 Attaboy - and Continuing Annoyances

Hi, WE Listers & GWMicro/AISquared team -

First, I am grateful for the launch of WE 9.0. Download and installation
went smoothly. WE functionality appears to be very solid. Thanks for the
well-thought-out expansion of WE capabilities.

With WE 9.0 installed on both my desktop (Lenova Thinkbox 32-bit Win7, IE
11, Office 2007) and netbook (Samsung N150 32-bit Win7, IE8 [MS download to
IE11 still won't install], Office 2007) the following annoyances persist
from the WE Beta cycle:

* "OK button" still interrupts, causes the current page to stop
reading. Alt-tabbing away from and back to the page being read or edited
restores WE speech on the page. It is still very frustrating to have work
interrupted this way.

* Find (Ctrl-Shift-f) on web pages still reads the page title before
reporting "Found" or "Not found." Others have reported this unfortunate
behavior.

* Arrowing down a document or web page or editing a document, WE
stops reading anything on the page. Again, Alt-tabbing away and back
restores normal WE reading on the document or page. This continues to be
intrusive and compromises productivity.

* When clicking a link on a web page to go to another page on that
website, focus on the new page is baffling to me. Often the new page will
say only "blank, blank, blank" as I attempt to navigate it with arrow keys.
Sometimes turning browse mode on with Ctrl-Shift-a is the answer. Other
times I have to turn browse mode apparently off and back on for the page to
read. Still other times I have to go to the top of the page with Ctrl-Home
for reading to begin. In all cases, browse mode is turned on when the link
is clicked on the original page. Where is focus going on the second page? My
most frequent instances of this behavior occur on my online banking
websites.

Perhaps these anomalies can be addressed once the roll-out natural frenzy
subsides. I'm content to look forward to a WE 9.1. Many thanks,
GWMicro/AISquared for this monumental achievement in WE renewal!
