First, check to be certain that UIA Support is on.  From the Window-Eyes 
control panel, go to "general, open it 
with the RIGHT ARROW, go down to "Other", and then SHIFT TAB to "Enable Support 
for UI Automation.  Make sure the 
"YES" check box is selected and TAB to "SAVE" and press SPACE to save the 
setting.  This isn't necessary if the 
"YES" checkbox is already checked.

If you already have Enable UI Automation Support checked and still have the 
problem, try rebooting and creating a 
message before you run anything else, particularly before office products.  I 
have occasionally experienced this 
behavior when I have Word or Excel open, but I have not been able to make it 
happen every time.
