PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL I can't really play with it at the moment to test this, but here's a couple things to get you started.
On the Page Layout ribbon, there are two places to test. This option you are looking for used to be on the Page Setup dialog box in older version of Excel. Now, I see a few options, but not sure which does what. On that page layout ribbon, there is a place a little more than half way across the ribbon that says Gridlines with a view and a Print check box below it and then to the right of that is Headings with the view and print checkboxes. I've used these to change whether I want dgridlines to show, but I'm not sure about the headings options. Seems to me that Excel would by default print the headings in your first row on your first page, but that it would be looking to you to tell Excel if you want it to appear on subsequent pages. Having a hard time imagining why you'd opt to print an Excel file an hide the headers even on page one. The other place to check is again on the page layout ribbon. There is a button called Print titles... It opens a dialog and in there are a couple options referring to headers. Very possible that one of these is a duplicate of the check boxes discussed above. The first option in the dialog let's you tell which rows to repeat on each page. I suppose this is particularly good if your column headers are actually two rows of text or more and you want both to appear on each page. Further down there is a checkbox option for printing headers. So, maybe the first just lets you specify which rows you want and the checkbox denotes if you want them to appear on this printing. Curious to know what you find out. If you still need help later, I can test this out, but I have to go now to a couple meetings. -----Original Message----- From: David [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, January 21, 2015 3:42 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Excel help please.
