This is a bug in Window-Eyes. Thanks for the catch. We'll get it fixed.

I have a work around for VV, so look for an update soon.

I get it in VV also.

I noticed this myself, but only in VirtualView. If I go into notepad and
type this is a test, then virtualize the focused window, I start
selecting by characters and hear:
t, th, thi, this... each time followed by selected. I couldn't get it to
do that in immed, though.

No, it seems isolated only to the Immed script. Which makes very little sense, but there you have it.

Are you able to duplicate the problem in Notepad?

Curious. I'm still getting the same behavior here, but it's apparently not something universal the script is doing. I'll poke around more.

I just tried this, and I hear what you're expecting to hear: "This selected, is selected, a selected, test selected."

Take the following line in Immed.

This is a test.

As you select by word, I would expect to hear "this selected", "is selected", "a selected", "test selected". Instead, I hear "This selected", "This is selected", "This is a selected", etc. etc.

Aaron, IN the Immed window if one selects text the entire selection rather than the newly selected bit is spoken. Is this by design?
This is just an edit box, so when you select text, you'll hear it followed by the word "selected." What are you expecting to happen?
