Once you have the Application object, you have to set its Visible
property to True. That'll make the window appear.

An object type would not include drive letter information. It's
simply the name of the type of object you got back from the GetObject
method.

I have no idea what dApplication is, or where it came from. You
should have an object with a type name of just Application. Once
you do, that's the Outlook object. What you do with it is up to you
at that point.
