I'm not sure that this is the problem, but I have noticed that scripts that connect to MSAA events have some strange unpleasant side effects when they are loaded. On one of my computers browse mode starts hanging and I often lose speech. On another computer I am unable to read through the message history in Windows Live Messenger, even though the script has nothing to do with Windows Live Messenger. Window-Eyes is just silent when I try to arrow through the history. If I unload any script that watches for MSAA events and then restart Window-Eyes things work great. Maybe your particular issue is not related to this, but I have noticed a link between strange behavior and MSAA related scripts. Perhaps it is something that will be fixed in WE 7.1, hopefully.
