if you have the format alert enabled in Word, as you arrow through the document it alerts you to changes in advanced paragraph formatting such as line spacing, keep with next and keep together settings, etc., and the outline level. this way you can go through the document quickly, without having to go into the paragraph format dialog to check these settings for each paragraph. Secondarily, it enables the display of comments if the document contains comments. these were both requested on the GW info list; so let me know if you have other feature requests. Chip
