I stopped the scripts related to focus, and turned off make mouse follow cursor, and it seemed to make no difference. I always heard the message failed to setthe listView as the focus. I used hotkeys to open three windows explorer windows. I got the messages "setting focus to some other window" Then I got the message "failed to set focus to listview control. This was with my xp machine and we 7.1. I know you meant this to be tested on vista machine, but it seems to have failed here also.
