I also have a related question: I would like to create a short pause in the middle of a string to be spoken; how would I go about doing this? thanks. Chip

Namely, when Window-Eyes sees and passes the period or comma characters to the synthisizer, is the speech pause completely controled by the synthesizer, or does Window-Eyes determine the pause time? If it is possible to control this pause through scripting (IE to make it shorter), which objects and properties should I focus on? Best regards, Ahmet
