Aaron, I guess the double function may not make any difference, but I took this from the Simon Says script in the manual. I just thought that since it was in there , it ought to be that way.
Option Explicit is a good idea also, but my main question was about getting the listview to display properly, and then getting all the items in that one list item to speak. I know that I've got something wrong here, but I don't know what!
