Hi Chip,
Hopefully I will be there. Also, maybe by then I will attempt posting
the Cuckoo Clock program/script. I got side tracked with some roofing my
porch and changing my mind on the script lay-out. I downloaded the app stuff
and have not used it.
If I do post before Sunday I will probably have lots of questions for
Doug when I reached that hurtle.

So far the script has a sleep button and if no wakeup time it goes to
that field. I also added an alarm time for other usage. The Cuckoo sounds
every quarter if set; amount depending on settings. Limited choices now for
sounds but will enhance in revision 2 of the script, along with how
displayed.

        Bruce

Subject: Doug Geoffray is guest speaker at Sunday night's scripting class

Hi all,

Just a reminder that Doug is preparing a technical (scripting) presentation
for Sunday night's scripting class where he will be the guest speaker,
taking live questions.

We'll be using TeamTalk (the public U.S. TeamTalk server, channel named
"scripting", and password is "gw"). Also, I have a .tt file with all of
this info for TeamTalk available, if anyone wants it, just drop me an email.

Class is Sunday at 7 pm EDT, and lasts for about an hour. Questions from
app developers are encouraged, so bring any problems you've been having,
anything you've wondered about, and get a new point of view this Sunday.

TeamTalk Info:

TeamTalk is a wonderful, free, accessible, voice conferencing system, which
allows
for group conversations using full duplex (everyone can hear everyone else
while
they can talk, just like a phone conference call), with great speech
quality, and
the ability to upload files to the channel so the participants can instantly
share
in files which are part of the conference, and the ability to send private
text messages
to others on the channel, or to the entire group when a written message is
preferable
to saying it. It can be set for either push-to-talk or voice activation
operation.
You can download TeamTalk at
http://bearware.dk
. When you run the TeamTalk installer you need to choose the classic client
with
accessibility as the item to be installed.
You can also download a Window-Eyes app which makes TeamTalk even easier to
use from
app central at
http://www.gwmicro.com/App_Central/Apps/App_Details/?scriptid=1271
