Rick, I can't tell whether this will be of any benefit, but it is worth to have a look at other services, to see if they will offer similar access as did Google. You could - of course - try to search teh web for things like "online translator" or something similar, and see which services are available. There is a rather good portion, although most of them are rather limited.
One service, that does offer multilingual translation, and which I know others have been using back in time, is the Babelfish one. Sorry, I can't give you their exact address, but you will find it. Also, I do wonder if Webster has a web based service, for translating. Yet, one thing to be aware of, is that not all services are automated, and not all of them can do translations of more than one word at a time. Far as memory goes, the Babelfish will let you translate whole phrases. It's been quite a while since I looked at their site last, and back then, I personally found it rather troublesome to navigate. Yet, your script would take care of that part of the story... Smile! Have a look, as it might just happen, there might not be too much rewriting needed, so as to adapt your app to another service provider. ----- Original Message ----- From: Chip Orange To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, June 05, 2011 3:01 AM Subject: RE: Google Translate Project Cancelled wwhhhaaaa!!! Sorry to hear that Rick; especially after you put all the work in. Oh well, you're that much better a programmer for having spent that time learning, that's what you have to remind yourself! Therefore, my project to auto-translate WE Script UI Elements is also deprecated. I will look at the possibility of using Microsoft's Translate services but my code base is 90 percent done for the Google Translate version. It might require a massive ReWrite to switch to a SOAP or other HTTP Request / Response protocol or whatever... Anyway, I see no reason to continue the current project - thanks Google. Rick USA
