Window-Eyes 7.5.3 is Now Available!Hi Dennis,
Yes, it takes about 40 seconds or more the normal way and less than 10
seconds the way I do it along with sorting the list by name and by date; 145
programs in 8 seconds.
The treeview will have to lists, one for by name and a second by date. They
will be sorted ascending or A To Z and earliest to latest date.
I will add buttons or tree views to reduce the list to just programs you
can uninstall. Or do the reverse and allow you to view all programs for the
desire to find what Windows Updates you have and such that do not allow you to
uninstall them. That large list gets in the way of programs you want to
uninstall, so I will allow a choice of how to list them.
Most likely I will have 4 tree view items for the list you want and when
each is expanded will give the names of all programs. When going down that list
and find the program you are interested in tabbing will give you that programs
properties; Name, Date, Version, Uninstall path.

Subject: Install and UnInstall App Is Almost Ready
Hi All,
Soon I will have an app that list all programs, or selected programs
with date installed, version, and UnInstall program for those who want that
information.
One person had asked for a faster load for XP computers and this only
takes 10 seconds for 145 files to be listed. Some of those files are
non-important Windows Updates and such, and not really important.
You will be able to list alphabetically or by date. I will have an
option to reverse order it in both cases but not a priority.
It uses the Quick Sort routine for a 2 dimensional array so it will be
a nice tool to look at for those who want to look at it.
I may also post an app to allow you to test all types of sort routines
along with the time sort to show which is of better speed for your needs.
Write now it will sort the list by name and date and the name is left
trimmed to insure no spaces and the first letter in caps just in case it is in
lower case for some seem to have that problem.
Anyway, it may be posted by tomorrow.
Sincerely
Bruce
