Hi Everyone,
Today I will be uploading the version 2.0 of the Trek game which allows
the use of the Windoweyes voices.
You set your own voices for the 3 standard voices, screen, mouse, and
keyboard.
They are for the Captain/Computer, Spock, and Scotty the engineer.
As the last posting points out, the game calls the Windoweyes functions
outside of the WE Script and you can use them.
This version also starts with and has a screen/tree view that lists all
the options to use in the game.
During running the game the help command or 4 letters (help) typed, will now
display on the screen the options, but the Tree View does it for you if you
just alt tab back to that screen during the game.
When using the tree view of the options you can get the description by
just hitting the space bar instead of expanding the command to view it's
description.
The commands are also placed in the .ini file as well for those who want
a copy in a text file.
CHANGE:
The 2.0 version you have to either tab over to 2 buttons to choose which
voice you want to use to play the game.
Or go into the run menu of that screen and select which one to run the
game with.
At any time during the game you want to change voice type, use the F5
key to toggle between types of voices. Toggles: SAPI or WE...
The F1 to F4 keys are for Sapi voice adjustment only,
And the standard Windoweyes adjustments are used for the Windoweyes voices.
NOTE:
As before, the game can be run as a stand alone game as long as you save
or copy the TrekData folder and the Trek.exe file to a folder or location of
your choosing.
Command line option:
In the 2.0 version and up the command line playing of the game and
entering "SAPI" in all caps without the quotes will run the game using the
Sapi voices upon startup.
Format: type At Command Line, or inside batch file:
Trek SAPI
then hit the enter key to run it.
The default is the Windoweyes voices so no need for a command line switch
after the name Trek when running the game.
It will be uploaded today barring any complications.
Sincerely
Bruce
